Why Settee?

The million-dollar question: Considering there are many accountants, lawyers, and agencies around the world, why should I choose Settee?

Of course, you can go to a local lawyer or accountant; they will certainly be able to calculate exactly how much income tax you have to pay and help you file your returns.

However, they won't be able to tell you in which cases a foreign holding company works and can save you a lot of money in taxes.

They also won't be able to tell you how you can save on income tax and social security by changing your tax residency or living as a nomad.

If you've asked your accountant about these topics, you know what we're talking about. They won't charge much for the consultation—perhaps it's even included in your accounting fees—but you will leave exactly as you arrived, without any solutions. Perhaps even worse: thinking there is no way out.

Another option is to go directly to an offshore lawyer or agency. Without a doubt, they will know the advantages of opening a business in the countries they specialize in, whether it's the BVI, Panama, Hong Kong, the Emirates, or whatever else.

However, what they won't know or want to tell you is how the solution they offer works for the country where you are a tax resident. They also won't know if you'll be able to open bank accounts or use payment processors.

It often happens that, even if there are no taxes in the country where you opened your company, you still end up paying tax in your home country because you weren't structured correctly.

How do we decide on the session date?

After booking the consultation, we will get in touch with you to schedule the date and time. We will send you a Doodle link where you can choose the most convenient time.

What are the payment terms?

The payment link we send allows for credit card payments. You can also make a bank transfer (USD/EUR/GBP) or pay with crypto (BTC/ETH/XMR/Stables). To do so, let us know your preferred payment method via email (info@settee.io) so we can send you the necessary details.

If you need more time to make the payment, please talk to us via email before the consultation. We also offer installment plans of up to 3 payments.

How is the consultation organized?

No two consultations are the same; every case is different. Before the session, we will send you a form to understand your situation. On the day of the consultation, you will first describe your current situation, goals, and desires.

From there, we will look for the best solutions for your case. We will take your preferences into account, but we will also discuss things you may need to reflect on.

In most cases, you will end up with a list of alternatives that you can easily study. While we can give you our recommendations, the final decision must be yours!

Can I share the consultation with family, friends, or partners?

Yes, of course. That's not a problem at all. However, keep in mind that this only works if the group's situation is more or less the same or if there is a common goal. If you're in doubt, you can ask us whether it's advisable to share the consultation or not.

Can you provide in-person consultations?

It depends. We travel a lot, and it's possible that at some point we'll be in a place that works for you, but you would need to adapt to our itinerary. In exceptional cases (which will be quite expensive), we can travel specifically to where you request. Contact us at info@settee.io so we can discuss it.

Are your consultations legally binding?

No, Settee operates intentionally outside the obligations and regulations of lawyers and tax advisors, otherwise, we would not be able to offer discreet and independent consulting to our clients.

However, if you need a binding answer, we can provide it through our lawyers by drafting a Tax Opinion. This can be useful for exit tax issues, holding structures, and other specific questions regarding the legislation of certain areas or countries.

Of course, you can also request that Settee's partner lawyers and agencies confirm everything in writing before you emigrate or open your company.

Can I record the consultation?

Yes, of course, we can record it so you can listen to it again later as many times as you like.

What does the satisfaction guarantee mean?

If we cannot help you, we don't want your money. If we determine during the introductory call that we cannot solve your problem or assist you, we will not accept you as a consulting client. This does not mean we have an answer to every question you might ask, but it does mean we will significantly help you achieve your goals.
